SCOPE-O-MATIC (AUTOMATIC RF AND LINEAR DRIVEN)
Stainless Steel, Aluminum or Galvanized Pipe
The Scope-O-Matic (SOM) bollards are fully automated. They can be used for commercial, industrial or residential type applications. These bollards can be purchased either in bulk or individually. They were developed for either real or implied security for entrance/exit ways. These units are very popular with the architectural firms, who are specking our units into their plans. These units are also aesthetically pleasing to the eye, leaving the landscape in its natural condition by disappearing when not in use. The Scope-O-Matic bollard travels upward in 12-15 seconds, raising the bollard 30 inches in height. The speed will depend on the weight of the bollard the customer wants for the job needed. The cylinder of these models can be manufactured in stainless steel, aluminum, or galvanized pipe. We can customer color the bollards to your specifications by utilizing powder coating techniques. The Scope-O-Matic bollards can be either radio controlled or hard wired by switch. Power can be transmitted through telephone, cellular, numeric coding, loop detectors, or computers.

The Heart Of Scope-O-Matic:
All ScopeLock bollards are engineered with one specific purpose in mind, to protect the linear actuator. The actuator is considered the heart of the product and is the only moving part. Each actuator has been specifically designed to complete its task within its assigned model. Currently, ScopeLock Security Systems, Inc. has contracted with various manufactures on the screw driven linear actuators and radio frequency options. All of our parts are weather proofed to withstand cold, wet and dry climates.

The Power Behind Scope-O-Matic:
The standard control panel utilizes a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), plus the necessary power supplies and relays. Current sensing is used to determine if the bollards are hitting an obstruction. If it senses an obstruction, it will immediately retract. Loop detectors and other sensor technologies can be used to assure that the bollards will not extend if there is a car directly over them.
A Window™-based monitoring control interface can be purchased for the Scope-O-Matic Automated bollards.
