SCOPE & LIFT (SEMI-AUTOMATIC GAS SPRING)
The Scope & Lift bollard is a retractable, manually operated barrier system that uses gas spring technology. The telescoping post can extend up to 36-inches above grade and retains an overlap of 12 inches within the foundation casing. This unit is extended and extracted by your choice of a key lock or a triangular nut key extension. All Semi-Automated bollards are engineered incorporating a precision made gas spring. This bollard can be manufactured out of stainless steel, galvanized pipe (that is powder coated to spec.) or aluminum with a mirror type finish. The weight of these units vary by the length of pipe needed, weighing no more than 132lbs. When retracted, the bollard is flush with the surface or grade. The spring is calculated to cycle an average of 60,0000 – 80,000 lifts. The extension time is calculated to be no more than 4 seconds. No wiring or electricity is required to operate these bollards. It takes less than 30 minutes to completely replace these units with out patented removable system. These bollards are idea for a real security of entry/exit ways, blocking ingress/egress traffic flow lanes or keeping vehicles safe in garages or car lots needing extra security without stopping the pedestrian traffic. These are manual bollards that require little to no maintenance.

The Triad Protection Lock (TPL) system is used in conjunction with our Scope & Lift (semi-automated) bollards. The locking mechanism is a three fold system. It has a camouflaged access panel on the cap of the bollard for added security, keeping out debris and holding the locking rod in place. Secondly, it can only be accessed by using a magnet we call the mag-lock handle. One end of the mag-lock handle is magnetized which forces the lid to pop out allowing access to the hydrant lock. Last but not least, the other end of the mag-lock handle is the female side which inserts into the bollard allowing the gas spring to be activated. Once the magnetized lid is removed from its position by using the mag-lock handle side, the female side of the handle will be inserted and turned counterclockwise which will activate the gas spring to extend the bollard up 30-inches. To lock the bollard into place while in the up position, turn the handle clockwise until it stops and remove the handle. To retract the bollard, re-insert the female side, turn counterclockwise to stop, compress by hand 6-10 inches from ground, at which point one can apply foot pressure to complete compression to a flat surface position. To lock in down position, turn female side clockwise and remove key. The magnetic handle should have the lid still attached allowing the TPL to go back into position for complete security. One handle is included for up to a four bollard system. Additional handles can be purchased.
