SCOPE & BEND (IMPACT RECOVERY BENDABLE)
Impact Recovery Flexibles
The Scope & Bend bollard is designed specifically for traffic counter-flow lanes, railroad crossings and any kind of implied security applications. The department of transportation needed a better way to control traffic in the large metropolitan cities through ingress/egress traffic counter flow lanes. With a push of a button, the impact recovery delineator model will help guide motorists in and out of the city during peak driving times. This model is also ideal for theme parks, sport stadiums, bridges and heavy traffic areas needing traffic control. Our device can help control costs and the safety of workers, who put themselves in harms way, every time they go to work on our highways and bridges.
The Railroad commission is always looking for better ways to ensure the safety of motorists and preserve loss of life. The delineator model would work in conjunction with or in lieu of the gate arm.
The delineator model uses Durapost™ a polyurethane post, which is extremely flexible and when hit will return back to its vertical position. The Durapost™ is an inexpensive component and is easily replaced. The entire seal, delineator tube, and photo-eyes can be replaced in 10 minutes or less. This post can easily bend at any point when coming up out of the ground. The tubing is 3-inches OD.
This model can be set to extend or retract at specified times using PLC technology. Loop detectors, card readers, or a computer program can operate the units at specific time intervals.
The Durapost™ is pushed out of the casing using an environmentally sealed linear actuator or an electro dynamic drive system depending on the speed needed. The actuator will have a speed of 12 seconds pr 24 second intervals.

The Heart Of Scope & Bends:
All ScopeLock bollards are engineered with one specific purpose in mind, to protect the linear actuator. The actuator is considered the heart of the product and is the only moving part. Each actuator has been specifically designed to complete its task within its assigned model. Currently, ScopeLock Security Systems, Inc. has contracted with various manufactures on the screw driven linear actuators and radio frequency options. All of our parts are weather proofed to withstand cold, wet and dry climates.

The Power Behind Scope & Bends:
The standard control panel utilizes a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), plus the necessary power supplies and relays. Current sensing is used to determine if the bollards are hitting an obstruction. If it senses an obstruction, it will immediately retract. Loop detectors and other sensor technologies can be used to assure that the bollards will not extend if there is a car directly over them.
A Window™-based monitoring control interface can be purchased for the Scope-O-Matic Automated bollards.
